Use your skills to help young people gain theirs.
Do you have a good head for numbers without losing sight of the big picture? If so, we could use your talents to help transform the lives of young people in our area.
We’re looking for a team player with great organisational skills to join our Trustee Board as Treasurer. We’ll provide excellent training and support.
What does the Treasurer do?
Working with the Trustee Board and other supporting volunteers, the Treasurer:
- Oversees our finances, such as making sure the group is collecting membership fees and reimbursing volunteer expenses.
- Shares details about income and spend with other Trustees.
- Makes sure Gift Aid is being claimed.
- Makes sure proper accounts are kept.
- Makes sure we have solid finance policies and fundraising takes place.

Support at every step of the way
Volunteers are the heart of the Scouts and we want you to get every bit as much out of it as you put in. We’ll provide learning on how our organisation works, your responsibilities as a trustee, and the systems that we use to manage our finances.
In the first few months of your role, you’ll complete e-learning modules (whenever it suits you best) that’ll bring you up to speed on the fundamentals of scouting, safety, safeguarding, and an introduction to being a trustee.
Interested? Leave your details & we’ll get in touch.
Thank you for your interest in this role. It really does make all the difference.
