Our Group Scout Leader Team manage and support the Group and it’s volunteer leaders. The team are responsible for making sure the best systems are in place to support volunteers and develop the group, providing line management to the section teams, ensuring the Group has an adequate number of volunteers, promoting and managing scout training, and liaising with Eastwood District.
Iain (Group Scout Leader)
Iain is the lead volunteer for the group. It is his role to ensure the group runs effectively and that Scouting develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association so that young people can benefit from good quality scouting.
Andy (Deputy Group Scout Leader)
As Deputy Group Scout Leader, Andy helps to ensure the group runs effectively and that Scouting develops in Giffnock in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scouts. Andy is also a training advisor for volunteers in our group, and until recently was the Explorer Scouts Section leader too!
James (Deputy Group Scout Leader)
As Deputy Group Scout Leader, James helps to ensure the group runs effectively and that Scouting develops in Giffnock in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scouts. James is also our Active Support Unit Manager and part of the Friday Beavers team.
